Precious Blackberries
I remember one of my precious moments in Federal Way, a city in Washington State on the Western Part of America also known as Northwestern Pacific Region or something like that. Enough of the Geography. So, when I went to a native Indian walk trail. While going for this long walk, I had time to hear the birds and just meditate on the beauty of nature and seeing it as God's gift to humanity. Then I looked at my side and saw some blackberries. I wondered if I could just take some and eat. So, I did. And they were so sweet. Then I continued walking. Another day, I went grocery shopping and I saw these packaged blackberries but for sale. Today, those memories came back to me for a reason to write this: the blackberries are the same in many ways, but different. The ones in the store have been cleaned, packaged and properly checked for it's food safety and consumption readiness, while the wild ones or the ones on that trail haven't been cared for in special way by humans but are still nutritious and watered by rain. I thought further about this then got this message: We may not have care or nurturing like some of our peers in advanced countries, but God has equipped us for greatness. Discovering that you have something inside of you to bless your world is a wonderful discovery and my prayer for you and I today is that God links us to where and who will equip us with more skills so we can be more beneficial to our world and ultimately to our selves. God bless you. - Martha I. Iyen
