Tone It Down. Please. You Are Hurting Me:

It's natural for people to feel comfortable when picking the right person to help them. A harsh tone professional most times makes people feel fearful, while a warm soft speaking professional most times makes people feel safe and calm. I once went to an Eye doctor who laughed at me and spoke harshly to me and I never went back. But when I discovered a good eye place. I recommend them, but never publicly discredited that former eye place. Later on in life, I met a staff of that former place and she remembered me and told me she was sorry for the way the doctor spoke to me that day. She explained the doctor was having a bad day and took the anger on me.  I was surprised. Let's try to work on our character, manner of approach, & personality even if we have a PhD. When we work into our offices, let's treat all clients as new and welcome them lovingly with a smile. Let's answer their questions the best we can and if we see we can't help them, let's refer them somewhere else. That's the best professional thing to do. You can't solve everyone's problem. You can't appeal to everyone. Do your best and refer the rest. May God help us and teach us more.  - Martha I. Iyen
